Spring Summer 2019

With the rebirth of Spring comes new and lively inspiration for a fresh and fruitful 2019 event season. This year, we look at a different approach to defining “trends” and we are bringing some of our closest friends along for the ride!

First up was a collaboration with Detroit-based event artist Darin Lenhardt of Fleur Detroit, and the world renowned Henry Ford Museum. The rare opportunity to create in this space was not lost on anyone as we conceptualized what Spring/Summer 2019 looks and feels like. From the evolution of modern farmhouse to a play on vintage travel, the season may be soft but it’s certainly not quiet!

White and gray washed wood is contrasted with sleek pops of black and gold, while the botanicals take on an effervescent sense of modern whimsy. Clean, carefree and approachable feels so “right now.” Sleek lifted tables topped with floral patterned linens and china take the garden soiree to a sophisticated new space. Pops of coral through lanterns and poppies creates a more conceptual take on the “color of the year”.

Come along with us as we re-define what “trend forward” looks like and bask in a vibrant energy that only this time of year can bring.

New Natural: Linen Choices

We asked our design center experts – our Inside Sales Team - what the most popular and on-trend napkin styles we’d see in this spring. Our favorite submissions added texture, a complementing napkin ring and even a pop of color with a second napkin fabric!

Ceremonies have been around for centuries  and like any institution they have gone through a fascinating evolution of substance and style. Today’s ceremonies range from small and intimate gatherings to large traditional spectacles and everything in-between.

This season we want to look at a few new twists to the union of two souls. Like any aspect of a wedding, your ceremony should reflect your taste and style. Our shoot at The Henry Ford took place in front of a strikingly ornate industrial cog that’s beauty resonated to its surroundings.

Highlighting the feature with vintage style chairs atop a soft sage rug contrasted a layer of softness to the hardline focal point. Peppering the rug with metallic cowhides provided a modern texture to the bohemian aisle. A fresh and light pathway culminates in a stunningly organic shaped alter space that feels so new and approachable.

Traditional aisles not your style? A ceremony in the round can be an exciting twist! Allowing guests to surround their loved ones as they enter into their new union is a fabulous way to celebrate. Personal and full of personality is THE way to say you do!
