The role of the Human Resources Manager is to provide personnel support to all levels of the organization. He or she will support the company culture upkeep and development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all Human Resources functions at Event Source and Panache Events (Pompano Beach, FL).
  • Supervise Human Resource Generalist / Recruiter on day-to-day job duties.
  • Act as a liaison on matters related to payroll, insurance benefits, 401k and personnel record keeping.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues through objective investigation and fact based recommendations for resolution.
  • Oversee HR Recruiting from cradle to grave and develop a continuous pipeline of candidates.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation classes and ensure all paperwork is compliant.
  • Develop and facilitate annual training activities, refreshers, and compliance matter training.
  • Provide and arrange coaching and mentoring as needed for team members.
  • Oversee safety related activities and compliance matters as it relates to OSHA.
  • Support managers in injury and incident paperwork and processes as it relates to workers compensation.
  • Track and monitor call offs, late times, and communicate this information to department managers.
  • Assist managers in progressive counseling and conflict management activities for team members.
  • Report end of the month numbers regarding interview statistics, turnover, injuries and etc. 
  • Manage company mobile application regarding upkeep of employee directory and company announcements.
  • Work with Marketing to coordinate company lunches and activities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee issues, company data and information.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation for employees and management.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of employee labor laws relating to EEO, ADA, FMLA, ERISA and other related laws to ensure legal risks are minimal and that the company is compliant.  
  • Facilitate ordering and stocking of company uniforms, and track employee uniform deductions.
  • Approve all HR related invoices and staffing agency invoices of temporary employees.
  • Participates yearly with Human Resources departmental budget.
  • All other duties assigned 

 

Requirements:

  • Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate to all levels of employment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must pass company drug screen and background check. 
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience and offer constructive criticism when necessary.
  • Some overnight travel is required (5% - 10% yearly).

 

Education and Work Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years Human Resources Generalist or Business Partner experience or 5 years HR Manager experience preferred.
  • Preferred 4-year degree in Human Resources.
  • Experience managing 1 -2 employees preferred.
  • Experience managing remote locations.
  • Vast knowledge of human resource laws, policies and resolution of employee issue.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel is a must.
